Challenge St. Pölten Top 3 Middle Distance Triathlon Race worldwide

Challenge St. Pölten proves once more its world class and achieves third place in the category ‘best middle distance race’.

The St.Poelten triathlon celebrates a fabulous debut in its first year as part of the Challenge-triathlons. After the award for the ‘Best New Race of the Year 2021’ the event continues its accolades and achieves third place in the international ranking for ‘Best Middle Distance Race” at the Sailfish Night of the Year Awards. With this outstanding achievement, the Challenge St.Poelten race joins the international top field, after defending champion Allgaeu Triathlon and the legendary Ironman 70.3 WM St.George.

“We are so thrilled about this award! It positions St.Poelten firmly in the international triathlon scene, and this will benefit the whole region”, beams organiser Christoph Schwarz from the Bestzeit team. “That we play in the top field is the result of hard work and determination of our teams to put on an excellent race for our athletes – despite all the challenges that Covid brought this year.”

The team at Bestzeit is already working full speed on the race season 2022. “The preparations for next year are already in full swing, and athletes can be looking forward to an amazing race again”, promises Petra Schwarz from the organisation team. “The athletes value the professional organisation and welcoming atmosphere of the race”, she knows from her long-standing experience. “Together with the unique UNESCO heritage landscape of Wachau and the backdrop of the baroque town of St.Poelten, this event is a highlight for both national and international triathletes.”

The race takes place again on May 29th, 2022. Registrations are already open.
