Thousands of athletes have voted: Challenge St. Pölten is the “Challenge Family Race of the Year” 2023. In addition to this honour, awards were presented in 12 other categories to races in the Challenge Family series. With the “most eco-friendly race” award, the organisation team in St. Pölten picked up yet another prize.
Every year, Challenge Family honours the races. In addition to awards for the best swim, bike and run course, prizes are also awarded for the best finish line party or the most family-friendly race, for example. The nominations for the 13 awards are based on athlete surveys that take place after the races. The final awards will once again be decided by the athletes and fans of the races by means of online voting.
The race in St. Pölten was nominated in six categories based on athlete satisfaction which was already a mini success for this race. It’s great that the athletes like it so much. The awards were announced and presented at the annual race director meeting last week: The Challenge St. Pölten team was able to travel home with two awards in their luggage. The trophies for “best race of the year” and “most eco-friendly race” now have their place in St. Pölten. “We are delighted to receive this award. The prize belongs to the whole team, our partners & sponsors and our team leaders with their numerous volunteers! Thank you for your support!” says Nina Schwarz from the organization team .
