Following the severe flooding around St. Pölten in September 2024, which destroyed numerous houses and caused existential hardship for many families, Challenge St. Pölten has shown its solidarity. The team decided to dedicate 10% of all entry fees from the time of the flood until the end of October to a relief fund. In addition, a warehouse sale was organised, from which all proceeds were also donated. Thanks to the participation of many committed athletes, a total of 3,350 euros was collected and handed over to Matthias Stadler, Mayor of the City of St. Pölten.
Nina Schwarz from the organising team emphasises: ‘The Challenge Family stands for cohesion worldwide. Our motto ‘We are family’ was very important to us here. It is impressive to see how many athletes have not only registered to take part in May 2025, but have also supported those affected in St. Pölten.’ This campaign emphasises the values and cohesion of the Challenge Family and shows how community spirit can give strength even in difficult times.
